A wooden walkway leads from the main cabin through the forest to the toilet. The front is made entirely of glass to maximize the view onto the lake. As the toilet is placed in between the woods, there is no one around to take a peak. Despite all the glass, its a private place.
The toilet seat is equipped with a separator insert to separate the dry from the liquid. The dry goes into one of three buckets in the back. The buckets are placed on a rotating disc. When one bucket is full, the disc will be turned to fill up the next one, while the first one already starts the composting process. The liquid goes into a tank outside and can be used as a fertilizer. The compost compartement is airtight and has a hidden ventilation, working with the chimney effect to prevent any smell on the inside.
